I forgot the password, or WiFi is inaccessible, how can I restore the metered power outlet to factory defaults?

For the current procedure, see the QIG manual to the product (available for download here and included in the package). To restore factory defaults, hold the button pressed, plug the device in to a mains outlet and keep holding the button for 15 seconds until the LEDs flash (green+yellow)
