CGI (HTTP GET) | NETIO products: Smart power sockets controlled over LAN and WiFi
Common Gateway Interface (abbreviated CGI) is a protocol to connect external applications with a web server. Such application usually processes a script within the web page and returns a static page to the web server.

CGI is an older and somewhat incorrect name that related to the control of power outputs using a URL with certain parameters. After creating a set of standard M2M API protocols, we renamed this control method to URL API.

Alternative names:

  • CGI M2M protokol
  • CGI (HTTP GET)
  • CGI API
